On 28th October 2010 Gary Hopkins, Managing Director of Turnball & Co, became the 50th Master of The Worshipful Company of Builders Merchants. Gary’s installation as
Master coincides with the Company’s 50th anniversary in 2011. Gary became a Freeman of the City of London and a Liveryman of the Company in 1997. He is also a member of The Candlewick Ward Club of the City of London.
An Installation dinner was held in the evening at Clothworkers’ Hall, in Dunston Court, London to commemorate the occasion with Past Masters, Wardens, Livery members and guests all attending. The guest speaker was Court Assistant Alderman Fiona Woolf, who is a contender to be a future Lord Mayor of the City of London – a great honour for our Livery.
