It was a Royal start to 2013 for two Court Members. Senior Warden John Poore (Managing Director of Poores of Acton) received a British Empire Medal (BEM) for services to charity in the New Year Honours list, and Past Master David Ridgeon (Vice Chairman of Ridgeons) was awarded an MBE for services to the Builders’ Merchants industry and within the local Cambridgeshire community. Alderman David Wootton, a good friend to the Company, also became a Knight Bachelor for being ‘Lord Mayor of London’ and for services to Legal Business, Charity and the City of London.
Congratulations to all three!
