In memory of Maddie Durdant-Hollamby

It was with great sadness to hear that on the 27th August the life of Maddie Durdant-Hollamby, daughter of Liveryman & Court Assistant Steve Durdant-Hollamby, was cut short in such tragic circumstances.

Maddie worked in the industry and was advancing strongly in her marketing role with Keyline Civils. Most recently she was appointed Project Director of Visibility on the Travis Perkins Youth Board. Maddie’s passion and dedication shone through and she is an inspiration to all young people in the industry or looking to join the sector.

Family, friends, colleagues and the industry at large have come together to raise awareness for a fund that’s been set up in her memory through the Construction Youth Trust. The overwhelming support flooded social media and almost £40,000 has been raised so far through the very kind donations made via the Funeral Directors and directly to the Trust.

The Trust aims to inspire and support diverse young talent to discover rewarding careers and achieve their full potential within the construction sector. The proactive work of the Trust includes working with schools and colleges as well as out in the community to prepare young people for the world of work, support them to build their skills and confidence and connect them with opportunities and employers aligned with their abilities and interests. Our Livery Company is proud to support this fantastic charity and the immense generosity shown towards Maddie’s fund will ensure their good work continues with great force and in loving memory of talented, young lady.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Maddie’s family, friends and colleagues at this very sad time.
