2023 marks the 900th anniversary of Britain’s oldest hospital, St Bartholomew’s Hospital, as well as London’s oldest parish church, St Bartholomew the Great.
In celebration of the momentous occasion, for the first time a service of thanksgiving will be hosted at St Paul’s Cathedral followed by a reception at the City of London’s Guildhall. Doors open at St Paul’s Cathedral at 4pm.
Dating back to 1551, View Day provides an annual opportunity for Barts Charity, Barts Health NHS Trust and the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry at Queen Mary University of London, to acknowledge new achievements and innovation. This year there will be a reflection of the hospital’s great legacy, history and the future of healthcare. A formal invitation (with detailed timings and directions) will follow, but if you are interested please email The Barts 900 team at [email protected]
