The Worshipful Company of Builders’ Merchants has developed a Climate Action Plan (CAP) which will help the Company play its part in responding to the growing challenges of global climate change.
As part of the Livery Climate Action Group, the Company is committed to supporting the Lord Mayor and the City of London in responding to these challenges.
An internal working party has developed the CAP, which was signed by Master Richard Hill on 14 September 2023. A newly formed ESG committee will now oversee the implementation of the plan as part of the Company’s ongoing ESG policy.

UPDATE: On 27th October, 2023, Master Alan Hawkins re-signed the CAP, which confirms that he is supportive of the policies set out within the Plan, and will continue to support the Company’s ESG work during his year as Master. You can read the Master’s addendum here.
