The Master of the Worshipful Company of Builders’ Merchants, Richard Hill, has written to King Charles III on behalf of the Company to congratulate him, and Her Majesty Queen Camilla, on the occasion of their coronation.

The letter reads:

Sir,

The Master, Wardens and Members of the Worshipful Company of Builders’ Merchants send their loyal greetings and heartfelt congratulations to Your gracious Majesty, and Her Majesty the Queen, on the occasion of Your Majesty’s Coronation as King Charles III and Her Majesty’s coronation as Queen Camilla.

The Members of our Company all come from the building material supply sector – distributors, suppliers and manufacturers. In carrying out this business, we support and champion the construction sector’s drive for greater sustainability and the overall goal of ‘net zero’.

Your Majesty has shown, for many decades, a keen interest in and support for the environment, whilst also highlighting the associated risks that our world faces.

As a City of London Livery Company, we look forward to continuing to support all national and City environmental initiatives and hope that we can all collectively improve our world.

I have the honour to be, Sir, Your Majesty’s humble and obedient servant.

Richard Hill

Master
