Liverymen are summoned to appear at Guildhall on Monday, 30th September by 11.45am for the Election of the Lord Mayor. Tickets are required and will be signed by the Clerk.
The Master will be processing with other Livery Masters and is required to wear his gown and badge. Any other Liverymen are not required to wear their gowns but need to be seated by 11.30am.
Liverymen who attend Common Hall need to have been a member of the Company prior to 31st May 2023 and must be registered in the Electoral Services Register. Any Liverymen who are not on the register will not be eligible to vote and will be required to sit in the public gallery.
After the Election, the Worshipful Company of Painter-Stainers are holding a three-course luncheon at Painters’ Hall, 9 Little Trinity Lane, London, EC4V 2AD to which a number of Livery Companies are again invited. Numbers are strictly limited. Liverymen from the Worshipful Company of Builders’ Merchants (and their guests) may apply for places at an all-in price of £75 per person (inclusive of wine and VAT). Tickets will not be issued for the luncheon.
A Calling Notice has been issued by the Clerk. Liverymen wishing to attend should complete the form and return it to the Clerk no later than Friday 20th September 2024.
